April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th on the 4th of July, 1995. As a seventh-grade student she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion to write songs. April's first song was Different. It was written at 12 years of age. She spent a lot of hours at the age of 14 creating songs, and practicing her music. She began writing with her dad on the streets of NY and LA soon after. She also started to write about various other topics of concern for some members of her circle who deal with such things as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has a fan base of her own and works as a lifestyle blogger at the renowned Ilia clean beauty brand. She has a disability that is part of her persona, however it's not the entire image. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from the fact that she is disabled, but it doesn't center around the issue either. The point is? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our physical and mental identities are not all that appear. Lockhart declared in video form she does not wish to be defined solely by her handicap. The woman doesn't intend to be a disability advocate one who focuses only on it. There are so many aspects to Lockhart. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I go about things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting to things. Because it's also a component of my identity I think it's worth discussing. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last for a long time, and she is an inspiration with regard to this. She admits that she has gone through phases where she was uncomfortable wearing certain clothing styles which displayed her arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. Also, she uploads her pictures to social media. The self-love she talks about is a process. I'm not entirely sure that you'll ever reach the end. This is a process, and I don't think you ever reach your destination. Your people with that truly understand you and see right into your heart, are those who will remind you about the importance of your life.
