Katherine Heigl admits that she was brought up in a white bubble, and how this realization affected how she cared for her adoptive multiracial children. She revealed in an interview recent interview that, in terms of skin colour, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister who is adopted by South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. I asked Meg if when she was out with her parents, she received a certain treatment while out on her own she got a completely different treatment. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" That made me realize that I was so ignorant," Heigl said to her parents. She confessed that she was angry however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to help her children. Heigl and her long-time husband -- the musician Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in 2012.
